Whats it all about?

In the summer of 2014 4 self proclaimed “chubby cyclists” will be attempting a feat usually reserved for the super fit!

The plan is to cycle form Lands End to John O’ Groats in order to raise money for Epilepsy Bereaved. More about the charity in a mo!

I know what you’re thinking…. 2014 is ages away! Well, between now and next summer we have a great deal of hard work and training to do as we prepare ourselves for this personal challenge. To say it’s not going to be easy is an understatement, but through our challenge we aim to raise loads of cash for this most worthwhile charity.

Please, if you can sponsor us on our epic journey which starts NOW with our training though to the climax in 2014, the EPIC ride itself. You can also show your support by spreading the word about our long, and probably traumatic challenge! Please, follow us on Twitter and like our Facebook page now!

So, why are we doing this then? Allow me to hand you over to “The Gaffer” Roy Grimes to carry on the narration!

Roy Here, in 2006 I lost my brother Nathan to S.U.D.E.P (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy) He was aged 32 when he died. Before his death, I had never even heard of S.U.D.E.P, yet in the UK over 500 deaths every year are attributed to this.

Both Sean and I have been on a weight loss campaign for a few months now, and Lee is monumentally unmotivated and unfit!  We want to keep the momentum going as well as raise money for a worthy cause. So, for me this had to be Epilepsy Bereaved. Sean has kindly agreed to this being our nominated charity. The fact that it is so close to my heart, makes it all the more motivating as I push forward to some intense training for our event in 18 months.
